r. Huang is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Engineering at National Central University since the end of 2007. Before that, he was a research fellow at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. He was also an alumnus of NCU. His research focuses on biomedical photonics and imaging systems, biomedical material, and deep learning in image and signal processing. For example, developing novel diagnostic sensing assay and IoMT-based point-of-care devices for rapid on-site identification of the pathogen and viral infectious diseases; establishing a deep learning computational optical microscopy system for cancer cell imaging applications; constructing a miniaturized high-throughput magneto electrochemical sensing platform for parallel profiling oncological markers in the early-stage diagnosis of colorectal cancer and ovarian cancer; establishing a portable imaging system with upconversion nanomaterials for imaging and detecting labeled proteins on cells and exosomes, etc. He has published many SCI peer-reviewed papers in recent years and was the first or the corresponding author of articles including Nature Biomedical Engineering, Science Advances, ACS Nano, Small, etc. He also has received many prestigious awards, including the Future Tech Breakthrough Award by MOST, National Innovation Award, Platinum Award from Taiwan Innotech Expo-Innovative Invention, Innovation Award from CES, Outstanding New Faculty Award from NCU, and among others. What is more impressive is Dr. Huang’s continuous exploration and dedication to new technologies, which renders his research cutting-edge and transformative. Besides leading his own group, Dr. Huang is also actively engaged in international collaborative research with many investigators from international laboratories and also established a startup company with the assistance of MOST and the National Central University research and development office.
