The "Department of Biomedical Science and Engineering" was established in 104, and now has a university department and three directly affiliated research institutes (including a master's and doctoral program in systems biology and bioinformatics, a doctoral program in biomedical engineering, and a doctoral program in interdisciplinary translational medicine).

Adhering to the spirit of "creating new fields of life science and medicine, and implementing new technologies to improve human well-being", the purpose of the establishment of the "Department of Biomedical Science and Engineering" is to respond to current social needs and the development of biotechnology and medical care industries. The development trend is aimed at cultivating cross-disciplinary talents in the biomedical industry.
