Thai University Students Join NCU International Student Exchange Activities
On August 27, 2026, National Central University (NCU) welcomed a group of students and faculty members from a university in Thailand for an academic visit to the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Engineering. During their visit, the Thai students joined students from Can Tho University, Vietnam, who were participating in NCU’s week-long student exchange program, for a collaborative hands-on learning activity.
The activity was designed around data analysis and research-oriented information retrieval, incorporating the research expertise of NCU faculty members in biomedical science and related fields. Working in small groups with their laptops, students explored research data and information, practiced data analysis, and learned how to search and utilize relevant databases and digital resources. Through hands-on operation and group discussion, students from different countries were able to exchange ideas and approaches while working together on research-related tasks.
Although the visit was brief, the activity provided a valuable opportunity for international students to interact in an academic setting and experience NCU’s interdisciplinary approach to biomedical research and education. The collaboration between students from Thailand and Vietnam also created a multicultural learning environment, allowing participants to communicate, share perspectives, and learn from one another beyond the boundaries of their respective institutions.
NCU’s Department of Biomedical Sciences and Engineering continues to promote international academic exchange by providing opportunities for students from different countries to engage in hands-on learning and collaborative activities. Through these international interactions, students can broaden their perspectives, develop research-related skills, and gain a deeper understanding of different academic and cultural environments.
