History
- In 1914, the school was established in Nanjing under the name "National Nanjing Higher Normal School," later reorganized as "Southeast University."
- In 1928, it was renamed National Central University.
- In 1962, the university was re-established in Taiwan, located in Miaoli.
- In 1966, it relocated to Zhongli.
- In 2001, it became a research-oriented university, progressing towards becoming a world-class institution.
- In 2015, it celebrated its 100th anniversary.
