The link between the school’s research field and "Eternal Development" is subject-oriented, focusing on development, through the formation of taskbased cross-field teams, comprehensive academic research ntegration and innovation, and enhancement of social strengthening and influence.
Our research community integrates the laboratories and centers founded for innovative discoveries that benefit our developing goals, human health, environmental sustainability, and society needs.
Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology（RECAST）
In order to enhance academic exchanges and research cooperation, as well as to adapt with national science and technology development policies, the National Central University effectively integrates research resources, promotes research related to security science and technology, fosters professional talents and enhances research standards of project plans, and coordinates school organizational structure adjustment.
The Ministry of Education approved the establishment of the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology (RECAST) from February 1, 2011.
Center for High Energy and High Field physics
The research fields include experimental and theoretical high energy physics, gravitational theory, gravitational wave observation and high-field physics.
Center for Environmental Studies
The Center’s goal is to be a key player in improving the quality of environment and life by integrating the existing research power and resources within National Central University. The research topics of the CES are relevant to issues of global change, environmental and sustainable development, and advanced technologies for environmental monitoring.
Center for Space and Remote Sensing Research
The primary missions include research in the related field of space and remote sensing, promotion of international cooperation and development of innovative technology and applications.
Center for Environmental Monitoring and Technology
The Center for Environmental Monitoring and Technology (CEMT), aims to actively encourage the research and development of environmental monitoring technologies, integrate research resources, and promote the outcomes of these efforts internationally.
Optical Sciences Center
The Center was established in 1987, mainly to integrate optical science and engineering research activities at National Central University and to enhance the development of the optoelectronic industry in Taiwan.
Cognitive Intelligence and Precision Healthcare Research Center
CIPH center aims to integrate cognitive neuroscience, psychology and biomedical science to investigate human cognitive, mental, physiological functions and related diseases to provide precision healthcare solutions.
Research Center for Science and Technology for Learning
Research Center for Science and Technology for Learning aims to continue the learning technology excellence project and integrate the research of interdisciplinary learning technology.
Earthquake-Disaster & Risk Evaluation and Management Center
Based on seismic hazard and risk assessments, we combine fundamental research and disaster risk database to provide smart products that fulfill the need from end users.
Humanities Center
Cooperating with the development of school affairs, the Humanities Center is dedicated to the cultivation project for humanities, introducing the concepts of “Regional Revitalization” and “Cultural Heritage” into the campus to enhance humanistic literacy.
GPS Science and Application Research Center (GPSARC)
The visions of GPSARC are promoting frontier GPS/GNSS science researches, addressing new objectives and results of GPS/GNSS remote sensing in the atmosphere, ionosphere, ocean altimetry and sea state studies, and supporting the FormoSat-3/COSMIC, FormoSat-7/COSMIC2, and FormoSat-7R/TRITON missions organized by the National Space Organization (NSPO), Taiwan.
Center for Astronautical Physics and Engineering (CAPE)
Taiwan’s first university space center.
Research Center for New Generation Light Driven Photovoltaic Modules
Found in February 2012, focusing on the research and development of the novel materials preparation and state-or-art solar cells/modules fabrication processes for the third generation solar cells as well as the precise evalutation of the photovoltaic performance.
Research Center for Hazard Mitigation and Prevention
RCHMP is a professional team of hazard prevention research and application.
